Charges

I have been with Verizon for 8 years. But once I seen how much they are charging, I am very disappointed. Speaking with T Mobile, they will pay off all four phones which total to be about  2k and  we will only pay $54.00 a month for each line. Plus 3 subscriptions like Disney, Paramount Plus, etc. Also, one year of AAA Road Service for one of us. Guarantee not to go up for five years so we are locked in for 54 a month. I tried talking with a Verizon representative and we are paying on average $460 a month.  They said they can drop it to $405.00 a month. But if you do the math, we would only be paying $216.00 for all 4 lines. That is a big savings.

I just looked at their website, and the fine print says "excludes taxes and fees", so what you're seeing on the website does not include additional charges and the quoted pricing is for the base price of the service plan with autopay.  The price lock is only for the base price of the service plan...which means they can still work in price hikes by adjusting the other fees.  While the perks mentioned are supposedly "free", I can't help but think that's going to be only for a limited time.  Autopay discount is $5/month; as far as I know, Verizon still gives a $10 autopay discount assuming you're on a current plan.  And the "pay off your phone" promotion specifically says "up to $800", which means not everyone is getting $800 per phone.

P.S. - Have you checked your subscriptions in your Verizon account to see if there's anything "forgotten" or otherwise not being used which you could cancel?  $460/month for 4 lines sure seems like an awful lot as the base price for 4 lines of Unlimited Ultimate is $55/line (assuming you use autopay) plus taxes and fees.
