Verizon phone CS is no help, I called but I can't even access my old account because the phone number listed wasn't mine and its protected by a pin. So is there a contact to hopefully get this resolved? The collectors can't help because even though the account is not listed under my phone number or email, it was linked to my SS# . The collectors did forward me the final bill that went unpaid and to my horror, it still had my name on the bill, not the person who moved into that house. But it was listed under a different phone number and email address.
But its a good thing I wrote down the dates, on June 14, 2018 I called Verizon to initiate a change of ownership on the account, I had transferred it to the next tenant since I moved out of that house. CS rep said I was good to go and the other person I transferred the account to was conferenced in the call. After that, never heard from Verizon again, no notifications. I assumed I was in the clear.
Then on July 2021, the account defaulted for $810.31. I didn't get that notification but then last week, I get the collections notice on my credit report, almost 6 years after I've moved away from that address....
So now I am very confused. But Verizon should have record of when I called because I vividly remember calling to initiate an account transfer and I wrote it down.
