Verizon Visa Linked to Wrong Account

Not sure if anyone else has seen this..
I recently applied for and received the Verizon Visa Credit Card and the rewards system has somehow become linked to an old Verizon account I had, rather than the current account which I used to apply for the card. When I log into the old account (login still active for some reason) I can see the rewards dollars and info, but when I go to the same section of the account portal with my current account it simply asks me if I'd like to apply for the card. 3 calls to verizon and 2 to Synchrony Bank (the CC issuing institution) and over 5 hours on the phone and no one has been able to help (I'm not even sure anyone understood the issue).
At this point it looks like I will need to cancel my credit card (and possibly my FiOS account), but I've accrued close to $100 in rewards that I will be losing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Quick update to anyone who finds this post- so far there is no happy ending. Verizon support (via this community) was helpful but it appears that because I was logged into my old account when applying for the card that is the account it became associated with, and there is no way to reassign it. I have reached out to Synchrony Bank and will update if there are changes, but it looks like I'll probably just have to close the card account.
