On Oct 4 2024 the auto-pay charge of 151.03 was processed. Then on Oct 11 2024 again $151.03 was debited from my checking account. I called Chase to inquire and dispute and they credited me for the dispute pending Verizon to talk to Chase. They returned the payment to Verizon. Today Nov 18 2024, I called Verizon Finance and found out Finance has no record of the Oct 11 2024 debit charge. So, now I am delinquent on payment and Verizon is scheduled to shutdown my service. It will take time to investigate the issue - either Chase or Verizon was hacked. I suspect it is internal Finance guy doing the unauthorized charge but we will wait for the result of the investigation. Meanwhile, if my service is suspended because of this unauthorized charge, I like to terminate my service with Verizon immediately. I can provide the Chase statement to prove the double charge.
