I just bought a BB Storm 9530 and I'm frustrated because the network connections keep turning off automatically after 2 minutes..I am missing all of my calls, and all of the calls I do make drop after 2 minutes(when the connection shuts off). I have to keep going into "options" every 2 minutes and turning back on the network, all for it to last another 2 minutes.
I am still very new to the BB family, so I have no idea what I need to do to fix this problem. When I asked the sales man yesterday, he had no idea what to do ( bc they dont have techs @ many of the Verizon stores anymore) and he was a non-BB sales person, so he had NO idea what to do.
If anyone has any advice as far as how I can fix this problem (so the network connections can remain "on" on its own for longer than 2 minutes), I would greatly appreciate it!!
Oh and I am in an area that gets GREAT service...My last BB had no problem picking up a signal in the same location, so I dont think locating the actual signal is the problem..
Thank you for your help AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!! I'M SOOO FRUSTRATED!!!! LOL

Also need to know how much memory you have left? Push Options and scroll to memory then scroll within and find how much MB you have left?

Thank you SOOO much for the fast reply. I have 26.3 MB of memory left and it's running off of 5.00.328 version.
I don't really need any of the apps that are already on the phone besides the basic blackberry ones, so if erasing other apps would help to fix this problem, please let me know how to delete apps from the touch and I will try that out!!!
Anything you can suggest is very helpful!!!

.328 is your problem, I skipped it because there were so many problems with it. Use desktop mgr. and back up your phone. Then go to Crackberry and find Storm 1 OS 5.0.0.419 and down load it. It has been released by BB, but not VZW. You must remove the vendor file there are plenty of articles on CB that tell you how to do it before you install the new OS.
Back to TX vs Rice,

Once again, soo helpful!!! I know I'm asking a lot, but I am clearly technologically not savy. How do I download the other BB version off of the crackberry website you suggested? I went to site and searched for the 4.19 version, but I couldnt find it and didnt know where to go from there!!!
Thank you

Once you actually start the install it may take an hour so do not interrupt it.
