BB Storm will not charge or power up...help!

I purchased my Storm on 4/11 and it has worked well until last night. The battery was at 40% when I plugged in to charge. The lightning bolt showed on the battery but when I got up this morning the BB was completely dead. I have had it plugged in to my computer for almost 2 hours and the LED light in staying red (not flashing). I have twice removed the battery for several seconds to no avail. Any suggestions???

No, it really sounds like a hardware issue.

Everyone is right . . . take it in for service. RIM has managed to address quite a few of the software issues but unfortunately there are some deisgn hardware issues that are continuing to plague this device and Verizon will NOT sign off on any of RIM's proposed beta fixes until these type of hardware issues are fixed by RIM. But RIM can't (spell that "won't") be responsible for taking back all these devices with hardware issues. So the stalemate continues. Pretty sad huh?
