BlackBerry Storm Settings

Okay. So I've had the storm for a little over a week or so and I love it. I am not sure if I might have hit a setting somewhere when I was playing with it or not, but for messages(email & text) i used to be able to flip the phone and have it go to a landscape view for typing or viewing and now I cant. I have looked all over for any settings or something that might effect it but found nothing. The phone still flips into landscape on the menu just not for messenging. Does anyone have any ideas that would help me?

there really is not setting that affects the accelerometer on the storm. the only option i can think of is to remove the battery while it's powered on. if that doesn't work backup everything with blackberry desktop manager and then wipe the device.
