Hello Verizon!!! Really no BlackBerry passport???
Who can tell me if Verizon will have it soon?
None of the store reps I have spoken to know anything about the Passport. The latest rumor is that Passport will be an AT&T exclusive in the U.S. and Verizon will have the exclusive on the Classic. Personally I'd much prefer the beastly Passport to the Classic.
Another possibility is that the Passport on Verizon mirrors the Z30 launch. The Z30 did a global launch on GSM carriers but still came to Verizon a month and a half later. That would put the Verizon Passport at a mid- to late-November launch. Fingers crossed!!!

Wow. That's some serious Verizon Double-Speak. Can you give us a simple yes/no answer whether Verizon will sell the Passport at all??
Blackberry Passport. Must have device on your network. I want one, and I will switch my carrier if I do not get availability VERY VERY SOON.
They do alot of network testing on VZ before a launch.
Never a straight answer from Verizon. I do know once the white #Passport drops and it doesn't work on this network, I will be moving all 4 of my lines to a carrier that has it.

At&t seems content spending money on exclusive deals while Verizon prefers to spend money on making a better network.

I think I will switch my lines too to ATT for the Passport. I refuse to be limited to what device I can purchase because the carrier doesn't want to carry it.
it's not that Verizon doesn't want to carry it. At&T has an EXCLUSIVE deal to carry it. Which part of that don't you get yet? It's like being mad at At&T for not carrying the droid turbo.
I hate to say it as I have been largely pleased with Verizon this first year of my contract, but if the Passport doesn't come to Verizon by tax time, I too will simply take my return, buy a Passport unlocked, and take my 5 lines to prepaid for half the price. I pay so much money for my cell phone because I was under the impression that I would get a higher level of service including availability of the best phones. If, however, I cannot get what I consider to be the best phone on the market today on my carrier at any cost, I don't see the point in paying the premium.
I'd think long and hard about changing networks just for a phone. If AT&T or T-Mobile are viable choices in your area as far as network coverage and data speed, then maybe. I've made the mistake of jumping from one carrier to another for a phone and -- surprise surprise -- both the phone and the new network stunk. Palm Pre on Sprint. Ugh!
It now looks like AT&T will get the U.S. exclusive on the Passport while Verizon will get the Classic. I was initially hopeful that the Passport would still end up on Verizon, then I was furious when I started to twig to the fact that it's not coming, but now I'm hopeful that Classic will be even better.
Dear Verizon please work with BlackBerry to bring the passport to your network. For the ability to use the ultimate in work and play technology I am willing to drop my unlimited data plan that I still have and honestly abuse. It's a win win for the both of us.
To add to what has been mentioned, AT&T has an exclusive for the Passport, how long, anyone's guess.
Since AT&T doesn't have it on web site nor is selling the Passport yet, I would expect it to be a while before Verizon stocks them, if ever. We are disappointed of course, but imagine what their customers feel like when they cannot buy Passport either. Stupid way to go as far as I'm concerned.
Hoping Verizon offers the BlackBerry Passport soon! Don't want to switch to ATT but I will to get the Passport.
I want the Blackberry Passport but it doesn't look like Verizon will get this phone. I heard the Blackberry Classic will debut in both GSM and CDMA models. For some reason Blackberry has no plans on making a CDMA version of the Blackberry Passport for Verizon. I also blame some of this on the company, Blackberry. I'm sure like myself many loyal customer of Blackberry stuck it out with Blackberry through the hard times only to get treated like this, having no options to purchase the phone. Some reward for being loyal to the brand. The jokes I've had to deal with because am normally the only one the room with a Blackberry. As a loyal customer of Verizon and Blackberry, we deserve the opportunity to purchase a Blackberry Passport. I never seen a company that tries so hard to get rid of customers instead of adding customers. Now am also thinking about moving over to a GSM network at AT&T or switch to Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge when it debuts in 2015.
BlackBerry took a huge chance with the eclectic Passport. They couldn't afford to launch it as if it would be an automatic hit. BlackBerry hasn't had one of those for a looong time. So they struck a deal to give AT&T the U.S. exclusive on the Passport. Verizon will get the Classic, maybe as an exclusive. While I love the Passport's screen, I'm not sold on the funky keyboard.
After pictures of the Passport were leaked and received a negative reaction from the BlackBerry community, Verizon cancelled theirs. They didn't expect it to sell. AT&T didn't cancel, obviously. I was told this month's before the Passport was released. Needless to say, I was disappointed by the news.
Most of what I have read about the Passport has been positive. The problem is jerk sites like N4BB that used to be BlackBerry fan sites, come up with garbage just for the clicks. (Clicks = money).
I don't pay any attention to the naysayers, if the Passport isn't any good, why does it continue to sell out.
It's the US carriers that are causing most of the negativity by not making it available.
Hello everyone. I found an article online today with all the news on how the BB Passport is going to AT&T. But I found this quote rather disturbing:

Another former sales executive questioned whether AT&T rival Verizon Communications Inc. had been outbid for an exclusive distribution agreement or simply wasn’t interested in the Passport, giving AT&T an exclusive “by default.” A BlackBerry insider involved in the Passport development said the latter was indeed the case: “Verizon wasn’t very happy with us in general and had no interest in anything new or innovative from us.”
It seems as VZW has no interest in Blackberry and I am not surprised as support for my z30 which I left AT&T for has been close to none in the stores. It's disappointing but a poor choice on the part of VZW. I'm on the old termination fee schedule and believe me I will not hesitate switching carrier. So stop asking VZW will they carry it, they are not interested and we as BB consumers are whining minority here. If they don't want our money lets just take it elsewhere.

Verizon **used** to have the strongest relationship with BlackBerry out of all the major carriers. Seems like it ended almost overnight, right about the time BlackBerry announced a leadership change to deal with their financial crisis.
