Blackberry Storm: Home screen button/icon problem

When I am on the home screen (only two rows of buttons), the last button pressed on each row stays grayed-out after I select another. So if I click on one in the top row, then one in the bottom row, then another in the bottom row, there are THREE buttons in non-standard mode. One (the current one) is highlighted properly. Then there is one other button in that row which is gray/faded, and one in the top row that is faded.
This does NOT happen when I'm in the full list of apps/buttons, just when it's the "home screen" (abbreviated, two-row by default) display.
This just started happening a few days ago.

I found the solution. Apparently there were too many apps running, leading to memory problems. I tried shutting them all down, but the phone was still acting funny. So I did a battery pull, and everything is back to normal.
Get youself "Quickpull lite" from crackberry.com and set it to reset your phone on a daily basis before you get up in the a.m. to prevent this from happening in the future. Also, do youself a favor and EXIT, not escape out of the programs you use on your phone. Do this by pressing the BB key (spotted key) and selecting close as opposed to hitting the back/escape button or the red/end call button. You'll be a much happier BB user.
