Bold 9930 Video on Verizon

I was looking around tonight and I noticed that when you click on the "explore features" button for the 9650 a video pops up introducing the 9930. Takes it through a nice demo. So when is it going to be available? Video says now available but CS says they never heard of it and don't have a clue. What up with the phone?

Hey,

I think the video got loaded in the wrong place. However, they are supposed to announce the 9930 very soon, perhaps today. That is according to some of the latest "chatter" on other boards. When it is announced, it will probably be announced on the main VZW webpage.

A Bold with a touchscreen, 5 MP camera, more internal memory, and loads of other features ... looks like an awesome BlackBerry!

Well one thing that I noticed today: IF you go to shop>phones>blackberry> page reads: 8 results found. Yet there are only six phones pictured. I am guessing that we will be seeing the new bold and new touchscreen torch devices by week's end :smileywink:

Good eye. I haven't noticed that, however, I would not get my hopes up too high. The only way to know for sure is to register for updates that can be sent directly to you from Verizon. Go to http://email.vzwshop.com/servlet/website/ResponseForm?OSPEJNlmhtLk_.2ef to sign up for email notifications about new products and other great news. Hope this helps.

The website is still showing 8 results, with 6 phones pictured, (actually only 4 distinct BB's, Bold with and without a camera, Curve 9330 for a penny!, 8530, and the Storm 2).

I'd like to play with the Bold Touch, so I'm hoping it's around real soon. Hubby has an upgrade, maybe pass my Bold on to him and get the newest for me with HIS upgrade.... :smileyhappy:

Could the 2 unfilled spots be placeholders for the Bold Touch (9930) Camera and non-camera versions? We can only hope.

I will be counting the days until my upgrade in October in anticipation of getting either the 9930 or the 9850 (assuming Verizon carries it).

The good thing about having to wait is that I will be able to read the reviews and play with the phones in the stores before I decide which model to choose.
