Curve 8330 Backlight wont turn off

I just got this phone and the backlight doesn't turn off. Under the Options menu 'Screen/Keyboard' the Backlight Timeout is set to 10 seconds, however it doesn't seem to turn off most of the time. When the light does go off a few minutes later I find that it is turned on again. Can anyone help?!?!?!

Hello,

Remove the battery form the phone while the phone is on. Wait for the phone to reboot (5 min or so). Then try. If still not working you need call us at 1-800-922-0204.
