Curve 8530 how to delete numbers that show when click the green phone

We just got our BBs and are learning from lots of web sites. But the "answers" we found to this questions elsewhere don't seem to work for us.

When you press the green phone icon, you see all the numbers you have recently dialed. We want to clear out this log all at once, not one phone number at a time. (If you click messages and do alt-O to see outgoing calls it only shows one or so, not the dozens the green phone icon shows.)

We'd like some suggestions to try so that the green phone icon's list of phone numbers called can be deleted in one fell swoop. Thanks . . .

Just found the answer that worked - In messages, use the shift key while using the mouse to cursor down. Release. Then BB menu and delete. Hope this helps someone else.
