Curve "Option" icon no longer working

When I select my "Option" icon, my Blackberry freezes up and the screen turns white.  It's brand new and, as far as I know, I haven't dropped it down a flight of stairs.  What causes this?  It has worked fine up until tonight.

Yikes. Have you tried taking out the battery a couple times? If you just bought the phone you can definitely get it exchanged for a new one if you need to.

Thats interesting. If removing the battery while it's on doesnt fix the issue you might try going to http://www.blackberry.com/go/vzw and resending the service books. If that doesn't fix it I would backup the p hone with blackberry desktop manager and wipe the phone.
