Can you not use the blackberry manager that comes with the bb?  If you dont have it www.blackberry.com and get the bb manager.

1 Connect usb cable to computer, 2 put the BB in mass storage mode, 3 open your BB's card from the my computer window.

I finally was able to pull up the manager, then down at the bottom, it showed some folders, I clicked on the one that said blackberry, then that opened up a whole new thing of folders, video, pictures, music etc. I found my files in those folders. I used the 'copy up' button above the folders, then was able to get them onto my computer. Glad I figured it out, was getting frustrated lol.

Hi. How do I put the Storm in mass media mode. I have been putting my memory card in a mini usb holder and synking Execl., Word and a few other things that way. Mass storage in my computer would be a lot easier.

thanks

Compared to transferring files over a USB connection, using a USB card reader is faster unless the new Storm firmware fixed this. You'll need an SD to Micro-SD card adapter and a USB card reader that will read SD cards. Pull the memory card out of the BB, plug it into the adapter, then the adapter into the card reader, then the card reader into your PC... copy files as you would to/from a memory card.

I don't know about the Pearl, but on the storm you have to make sure "Mass Storage Mode Support" is on by going to>options>memory>Mass Storage Mode Support set to on>go back>Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected to yes.  This is assuming you have already installed the LATEST version of BB Desktop manager that has the drivers you need for your computer to see your phone if it doesn't already.

Your phone should of came with a blackberry cd for the computer or pc. this installs your blackberry manager that also instalss a program called roxio for blackberry. this allows you to transfer pictures and videos from and to your blackberry. if you dont have the cd or program just go to www.blackberry.com and go under softhware. look for the blackberry media manager that best fits your BB and download.
