Jay-VzW Storm Question

So does Verizon plan on allowing the Storm 1 owners that have dealt with issues and stuck it out to upgrade at a resonable price to the Storm 2 once it comes out?

Hopefully Jay will chime in, but I'm going to say it's highly unlikely that VZW will be giving any incentives to the early adopters of the Storm to upgrade to the Storm2. You will more than likely have to pay just like anyone else out of their upgrade cycle for the new one. They really don't "owe" it to us although it would be awesome if they put something like that in motion. If research was done then you knew what you were getting into when you bought the phone so now you gotta stick it out.

That being said, are you currently having any issues with your Storm we could possibly help you resolve?

the storm 2 is a myth as of right now, basically the storm 2 is the new upgraded software, and that is sent directly to your phone OTA. that is if you haven't downloaded a different beta version.

So I am guessing then that the pictures of the Storm 2 are somebody's attempt to be funny. I think not. It has various improvements over the Storm 1 as shown on various websites one being crackberry. Also the new OS will be a 5.0.141 version available OTA or your desk top manager. Why would someone call the OS upgrade Storm 2 or Odin or Thunder (various names used to describe the new Storm) which is the true name?

LOL this thread is hilarious. The Storm 2 is absolutley not a myth. There are pics and was a video showing it in action but RIM had it pulled last week. Rim wants to keep the new touchscreen a secret as long as possible. Speaking of the 5.0 OS you can get that right now for your Storm 1 if you know where to look :smileywink:
