Mobipocket reader issues

I have a Storm with Mobipocket Reader installed as the only reader that Blackberry supports. It has suddenly started putting the keyboard in the bottom half of the screen and not filling the screen with the books listed. It worked perfectly for some time after installation. I have done all the suggested corrections, like remove the battery, check compatibility setting, etc. It is unresponsive to screen strokes too. The keyboard won't leave no matter what. Even the Verizon store tech couldn't solve it. He claimed it was a third party problem. The fact that it once worked makes me wonder about device issues.

Any ideas?

Thanks

From home screen go to: Options>advanced options>applications- a list of your phones apps will load. Highlight Mobipocket Reader-repeat-highlight, don't click after you highlight. Make sure you are using the beta version6.0.0.80. If you have this version, with mobipocket highlighted, click the bb menu botton on bottom of phone. Disable compatability mode. Save before exiting if it gives that option. Now reboot phone. Ouila, problem solved.

Now hopefully someone can help me with my problems. When I import a pdf file into mobipocket desktop it is jumbling words around here and there, enough to make it very annoying.

Second, I did the os update on my  phone to 5.whatever, but had nothing but problems with phone. Neither verizon or RIM could help me after hours of troubleshooting, reloading software, etc. I had to revert back to 4.7. Now whenever I sync phone with mobi desktop reader it tells me there is an updated version of pocket reader for my phone. If I hit cancel it causes problems. If I accept, it starts bb app loader. The problem there is it shows my phones os grayed out with 5.0 checked, and no way to uncheck. So I cannot see anyway to use this app loader without upgrading back to os 5.0. I think I need the beta version anyway, like I posted above. Any suggestions?

If you need to change to the beta version you should do the OTA download. This is where I found the answer when I had the blue screen/keyboard problem:

Thanks mechanic. It worked! I don't know why the Verizon techs couldn't help........ I wish I could solve your concern. Sorry.

Take your pick of the answer:

1) they don't know

2) they don't care

3) they are worthless

I wonder if you have set a side button to keyboard, if the keyboard can be closed that way?
