Got a BlackBerry Storm 2 a few months again and about a month and 10 days into it the light bulb on the camera doesn't work. I read the warranty and it says I only have 30 days from activation to return it if it doesn't work properly. So I missed that and then about a month later a glass of water is spilled all over it.
The phone works fine except the screen power button at the top. Sometimes you hit it and the screen with turn on and then off again. Hit it again and some times it does the same thing and other times it turns on as if it is working perfectly. Turning it off can be tricky as well. Turn off the screen....screen turns back on.
I have two questions...
Is there any way I can fix the problem myself or bring it into a store and have them fix it for free? Possible giving me a new phone or something. Not sure if it will show up as having water damage.
Also I am a "poor" college kid so I don't have a lot of money to buy the protection plan (Will do it next time however) but can I just buy another phone and insert my SIM card into it? I know Verizon does a phone thing where you can only buy one every 12 months. Can't find it though.
Any help would be much appreciated!
