If I understand correctly, what you are trying to do is connect from Computer "A" to Computer "B" using PC Anywhere using your BlackBerry Storm as the modem on the the first computer.
If this is the case, then the solution is a two-step process.
1.) You will first need to tether Computer "A" (probably a laptop) to your BB Storm. There are other discussions on how to do this, but the gist of it is the following:
A. ) Call Verizon customer service (or drop by a store) and adding the tethering option to your plan. Unfortunately, there will be
an additional charge for this option (is anything ever free?) but if you already have a data plan, it may be $15/month.
However, check the cost out for your individual case. Also, be aware that you may be limited to 5 GB/month of data transfer
before extra fees kick in. I just tethered my laptop this week, so I am trying to determine if this will be enough for me. I figure
I will try it for 30 days first and re-evaluate it then.
B.) Visit the vzam.net website and download the VZAccess Manager software specific to the BB Storm (v 7.0.4 [2323c]).
That should work with Vista/XP/2000 and all the appropriate drivers that you'll need should be included in that version.
C.) Install the VZAccess Manager software on the computer you will be tethering your BB Storm to. (I will assume that you have
previously installed the BlackBerry Desktop software on this machine. If not, install the BlackBerry Desktop FIRST)
D.) Once VZAccess Manager is installed correctly, open the software and connect the Storm with your USB cable (you can use
Bluetooth as well, but I will assume you'll be using a cable the first time). Your PC should detect a new device (your BB
Storm) and install the appropriate drivers.
E.) Your BlackBerry Storm should now show as a dial-up modem in the VZAccess Manager software. You may have to press
the "CONNECT" button in VZAccess Manager, but I'm sure you can figure that out.
F.) You should now be able to open your browser and establish an internet link.
If you have problems, do not hesitate to contact Verizon customer support. I had to have them help me after many frustrating hours of trying on my own. But every situation is different, so please don't get discouraged.
2.) You will also need to do the setup for PC Anywhere on one or both of your computers. This I cannot help you with, but it is a separate issue from tethering your BB Storm. All I can tell you is that if you want to connect Computer "A" to Computer "B" using your BB Storm, you will first need to complete step #1. Otherwise you will have to connect Computer "A" by some other means.
I hope this helps, and please come back and let us know if you get this working or if you have further questions.
