New Blackberry User-Question

I just took the plunge and got a Blackberry Curve, I went ahead and got the e-mail and web.  The phone arrived today and I'm having trouble setting up e-mail.

As I'm going through the wizard for the e-mail setup, I'm only getting these two options:

'I want to use work e-mail account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server'

'I want to skip e-mail setup'

Shouldn't there be an option for pop3? ( Yahoo, Aol etc)

Also I tried to use the Blackberry browser and got the following message:

'Your device does not currenlty have any Browser Configuration Service book Entries'.  Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device'

Shouldn't that have already be taken care of prior to the phone being sent to me?  Is there anything I can do?

Being that your browser has not yet showed up and you're having issues with email setup, check to see if your phone displays 1XEV next to the "bars". If it says otherwise like 1x or just 1X or 1xev (non caps) your data services have not gone through. A few things you can do is go to manage connections from the main screen, and turn your radio off. Wait a few seconds and restore connections. Typically you will see little red arrows in the top right of your screen showing that data is transfering. If 1XEV shows up, your browser (globe icon) will usually pop up in the main menu, and you should be able to setup your email easily. If your browser does not show up, go into Options > Advanced Options > HRT > and click the menu button and select register to send the service books which will only be effective if 1XEV is showing. Again, little red arrows. You may have to repeat, or do a battery pull.
