its possible but i need verizon and rim to crank out an official 5.0 os for storm 1 kids.
Is the 5.0 OS for S1 gonna make it run just as good as the S2?
I am torn what to do. I need a new BB soon b/c I broke mine (Pearl) this weekend and so I am currently BB'less, don't ask how I am surviving my days w/o a BB. I dont wanna pay $90 for a refurbished one when I can get a new phone in general, for just a bit more with an upgraded new 2yr contract. The S1 is so cheap, but is it worth the hassle. I am excited to see the S2 coming out soon.
How are you making it without your BB. I would be soo lost. I love my BB Storm, but if you can wait a couple more weeks I would get the Storm2. I haven't had any problems with my Storm.
Oh, IDK how I really am surviving. I am going BB crazy. Last night I was out with my friend who has a Curve, I think I pretty much stole if from her for 80% of the night!

You will be dissapointed if you think Oct 21st is the release date. It might be announced on that date but not released.
Im hearing early Nov 5th area.
Vodaphone is releasing first and they have not announced it ( its announced two weeks prior to launch) they dont even have any in their warehouses.
Its proof ...that they are training on that date.

I can read perfectly. I am not reading between the lines on the start dates of internal workgroups to be the release date of the Odin. I think everyones a little gunny for this phone. I would still wait till next month before you see this phone. Nov 5th area

yes it looks like nov for the 9550. vodafone is releasing on the oct 26th...so verizon will be later. sorry people that wanted the oct 21st day...but the release date for the 9550 will be on a later date.

of course the storm2 is going to be a bit faster because it has more memory than the storm1...the storm 1 and storm2 both have the same processor. but what makes the storm 1 run slow is the 4.7 os. i'm running 5.0.0.230 and its sooo much better than 4.7. much faster with the flick scrolling. now the storm2 is to be released with os newer than 5.0.0.287. and im not sure which 5.0 os is going to be the official os for storm1 within the next few weeks but it will be faster.
Scratch that ..OK Vodaphones warehouses of the 9520 are starting to fill.
I think the first Storm is a worthless piece of junk so the next one will be, too.

All I want know is the truth. I'm tired of deal with Verizon slow **bleep**. I hear the BB Storm 2 is coming out in Sept. Then in Oct. 14th and 21th. What is it, Verizon? That's who I want hear from. I don't believe any other site and what they think the date is. My upgrade is coming up soon I want the Storm, but if the Storm 2 is coming I rather have the new version. I like the service Verizon provide but I can't stand most of the phone they sell. What I think are the best phones they would offer they take a very long time getting it out to the public.

dude take a major chill pill. Just b/c your upgrade is coming out soon does not mean that you have to rush out and get a phone right away!!! Mellow out, have patience the storm 2 will be coming out soon!
if you must have a storm2 look out for it in nov. it doesnt look like its coming to verizon in oct because vodafone has it first and vodafone release for storm2(9520) is oct 26....the verizon storm2(9550) will be a few wks after...pretty much nov...almost there though.
Told you they were full of it. The reason I'm jump out there and getting a new phone is because the piece of **bleep** they sold the wife and me started falling apart the third week. So i decide to my homework on phones. There is 2 phones i'm looking and niether one will be out. Verizon when it comes to phones they are full of **bleep**. Now I'm stuck with a piece of **bleep** phone they i can't even turn on speaker phone because the **bleep** buttons fell off. I knew it wasn't coming out just like the Samsung Onima 2.
