Problem with connecting Verizon cell phone with Home Security System

I've purchased a Honeywell "Touch" security system. I'm having problems with the "arm/disarm" feature when trying to connect to the base security controller in my home.  I can call back into the controller, but it will not accept the "code" I enter.  This does not work on either my cell phone or my wife's. (both Verizon's).  I've change the DTMF to "long" tones.  Per the equipment provider and Verizon.  This has not resolved the issue.  (note:  the equipment provider can arm/disarm the system using his cell phone without any issues.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks.

CMan.

Thanks for posting RoseHillMan!

You actually mentioned what I would've suggested, changing the DTMF tones to "long".  Since that didn't correct this issue, you would need to reach out to the alarm system manufacturer support.  Let them know what model phone you have and ask if it is compatible with their alarm devices.

I hope this works out for you!
