Qwerty Texting Newbie

I just switched from the original Pearl to the Curve with the Qwerty keyboard. I really prefer to text with the word option where it spells it out and then you can scroll through to select and not type the whole word (if that makes sense). Please tell me I have this option on the Curve and where can I change it???

You are referring to SureType.  That is only available on the Pearl and Pearl Flip.  Since you have a QWERTY keyboard, you can spell out the word.  The Autotext feature can make suggestions for spelling if you spell a word wrong, such as 'the' for 'teh.'  Autotext will change the word to the correct word. 

I had the Pearl before moving over to the Tour.  I did get used to just typing a few letters and the word would be suggested for me.  This made typing with the Pearl a little faster.  Now with the QWERTY keyboard, I can just type and go back and check spelling.  Of course, I still have the Autotext feature on the Tour.  After a day or two, I became used to the Tour's keyboard and I can zip off a text message just as fast or faster than I could with the Pearl.  I hope this helped you.
