Hey,
Welcome to the forums. First, you do not need the Sim Card on any of the Verizon Smartphones. They are not used except for overseas. In order to use the device, you will need to call customer service from a different phone and tell them you would like to activate the Storm. They should be able to help you.

Thanks for the information StreetDocRN. That's correct, if your activating your phone on a Verizon Wireless line you can contact customer service from a land line at 1-800-922-0204 to receive assistance with activating your device. Also, your SIM card is only used when you travel internationally. You can also, activate your device via your online account though "My Verizon" or by dialing *228, send and choosing option #1 from the handset.

Thanks StreetDOC! You are absolutely correct.
Unless this device is a BlackBerry Bold with a Verizon Wireless logo on the device, it is not compatible with our network. The Bold is the only BlackBerry that uses GSM (Global Systems for Mobile) technology to be used overseas. Other than that, the phone would not have a SIM Card.
Thanks,

Hi,
Actually, there are several other Verizon branded Blackberry devices that are global ready. The Tour, Storm1 and Storm2, and the Bold you mentioned. All of those devices come with a global ready Sim card.
