Storm 1 System Hung Up

Hi,
I've got the latest version of OS running on my Storm 1 and everything was OK until today. Now every time I try to do something I get the little clock icon showing the phone is busy and it may or may not perform the task. I assume this means the system is hung up. Is there a way to do a hard reset? Is this a memory issue?
Thanks, Dave

Hi,
Pull the battery out for a few seconds and then allow it to reboot. A daily battery pull will keep any Blackberry running a little smoother.

most memory I've got down to is 40 MB from 49 MB phone
JCM, really 40 to 49Mb on an S1? I have never had that even before loading any apps? I wonder why we don't have more it's like you have a larger memory chip on the main board plus the new 5.0 OS uses more memory. Please do not misunderstand I am not challenging you, just curious. The best I can get today is 29MB after emptying everything, full clean and the keyboard log wipe, plus a bat. pull. All I have as far as apps, is Pandora, Berry-buzz, Face book.

JCM I do get a memory bump when I pull bat. I will go from 24Mb to 29Mb by doing a bat pull.
But I am really interested in how you removed stuff in D. mgr loader? Is there any down side to removing it? How do you remove it?

LCromwell, you recover memory in battery pulls, in last reply kind looked like you get more memory than what you have in battery pulls, you see what im saying.
About removing no downside? the only I kept is what you can't remove.

Okay, I'm sure you've been there as well all? D. Manager from app loader I removed everything that you can? Now I don't know if documents to go or memo, tasks are needed for you, the phone doesn't need it? as well language inputs, I only kept English, other than that remove like games, help etc., I'm not sure if you can remove maps but I kept it, that's pretty much it, About going there from Desktop Manager go to application loader and follow the rest its not that hard to proceed the next steps? Uncheck what you don't want and go next step. Hope this works out? Hey check attachment the memory I have right now...
