I have the curve now and am having issues with it and would rather just change devices was wondering if I buy the storm out right from someone else, would verizon activate it for me? It seems stupid but I figured I'd ask.
Also, since it's the storm I've heard that there were issues with it and if there are any that I should know about that would hinder my buying it before I do...
Any help at all would be great! Thanks!!

Yes, of course Verizon will activate it for you. You'll keep the same plan and everything. You'll need to call and give them the ESN number to activate.

There's nothing wrong about telling people to call CS directly for ESN changes. The OTA method is unreliable as far as I'm concerned. On my business account I sometimes do 5-10 ESN changes a week and I'd say the OTA method works less than half the time. So I'd rather not waste my time listening to that terrible OTA music and just have a rep do it for me. Besides, that's what they're getting paid for. Furthermore, changing it via MyVerizon is even less reliable. I'd rather just speak to a real, breathing person to make absolutely sure it's going to work. And I'm sure many people feel the same way.
