Hi! I've read a lot of the posts here about switching phones, but I still have a couple of questions.
I ordered a Blackberry Curve online yesterday (so I haven't received it yet) using my husband's upgrade since my current phone is broken. If I understand correctly, when the Curve comes, I need to activate it under his line first using *228, option 3. Then, I can go online and switch the phones on MyVerizon simply by choosing my number from the drop down and putting in that identification number from the Curve. I'm just wondering though-during this process, does my phone and my husband's phone both need to be off or on or does it matter? Will his phone go back to being able to be used when I switch the Curve to my phone number or will I need to do that same process again with his phone to associate his number with his old phone again?
He is going to use my upgrade in March to get a Curve also, but he so kindly let me use his upgrade now (he's the account owner) since my phone is messed up. So, I guess I'm going to have to do this again in March.
Thanks in advance for the help-everyone seems really nice here!

When you get the phone there will be an 1-800 number in there for you to call to acticate it. It will make you accept the contract on your husbands line. But then gie you the option (optin 2) not to acticate on your husbands line.
When you get off that call you then dial *228 option 3 becuase you do not currently have a bb it will transfer you to customer care so they can add the feature for you. After you get off the phone with them you will need to dial *228 option 1.
No you do not have to turn off your husbands phone. Yes you need to turn off yours.
Thanks for your help!
So, just so I'm clear (I'm a little technologically challenged sometimes)-
You said when I call the 800 number it will make me accept the contract on my husband's line. Will it give me the option 2 after I activate the phone on his line or do I have to call back?
When I ordered the phone online, I chose the BB service plan I wanted, will I still have to customer service even though I did that online? I just don't want to have 2 BB service plans on our bill and have only one BB.
Thanks!
