Trying to silence dial pad on my storm and still hear a ringtone.

I am trying to silence the dial pad when I'm dialing numbers on my storm. I can silence all alerts and that turns off all sounds, but I want to able to hear my ringer for calls. I have tried to edit all sound settings. I have turned off keypad sounds, but every time I dial a number I get a key tone. Is there an option I am missing?

It seems to me that you need to create a sound profile to personalize the sound settings on your device. To do that you will need to follow the steps below.

1. In the sounds application, click Custom Profiles

2. Click Add Custom Profile

3. Type a name for the profile.

4. Click an application or item.

5. Set the notification information.

6. Press the Menu key.

7. Click Save
