AT&T will get the Blackberry Passport exclusive in February.  It looks different because it has curves on the edges instead of the square Blackberry Passport which I like better than the AT&T version.  I heard Verizon will get the Blackberry Classic sometime soon but I don't think the Passport will ever come to Verizon.  It's a GSM phone only and I don't think Blackberry has any plans of doing a CDMA version.  I have no idea why Verizon is still using CDMA, it's like AT&T and T-Mobile has MP3 and Verizon and Sprint are still using cassette tapes.  Verizon has rolled out the voice over LTE but it will be a while before they start doing unlocked phones am sure.  The choice is to wait or go to another cell phone provider.  I decided I'm leaving Verizon after 14 years because am spoil and I want the Blackberry Passport that bad.

Thanks for the information.  I have also been with Verizon for more than a decade and not but at changing.  Nevertheless, it seems the industry may move beyond their, so called, better system, better plans will likely follow, and off I will go.  Still watching and waiting for the Passport.

Verizon's phones are unlocked.  They just don't work on GSM.  Much like AT&T isn't locked, but they don't work well on CDMA.

Sounds like we can't get a real answer.  No customer service here.

I wish Blackberry could establish their own network.  Unfortunately, AT&T has an exclusive on the Passport but even they have not made it available.

Why would there be customer Service on this Customer to Customer forum? If you want a phonre another carrier then go. No one is stopping you and no one will.

That remark is rude and unhelpful.  I am a customer and others here have asked the same question.  I am sick of Verizon pushing iPhones and androids and running down Blackberry which is a much more reliable problem than any of those.  They may be flashy and highly promoted but hype isn't a substitute for quality.

Actually The BlackBerry Passport is offered by US mobile. Www.gousmobile.com so it's not exclusive AT&T! Verizon we need you to get since we know the truth!

Thanks for the suggestion.

I checked it out.  Their service is limited and does not reach many places where I travel.  Also, the Passport is not available on their system as yet.

I agree justinian2220.. I wish there was something from Verizon directly or even one of the Customer service Rep or the Moderators that read these forums would step up and try to find an answer.. I found what I did on Blackberry's site..

and I am sorry I did not look for the Passport information there.. had hard enough time  finding anything to even confirm other carriers would be getting it at least sometime soon..

Verizon can't tell you anything about the Passport because BlackBerry has not made a CDMA version yet. Nothing filed with the FCC, no mention from John Chen (aside from when he said AT&T had the exclusive: BlackBerry Classic and exclusive Passport confirmed for AT&T | CrackBerry.com).

Classic was released outside the U.S. first so we're still waiting on BlackBerry for scheduling on this one too.
