even when i have 3 or 4 bars of 3G service, i still wont get the text messages on my phone until possibly hours after the phone says they were "recieved"
even when i have good service it also wont let me send texts
any suggestions?
Try to update your device by dialing *228 option 2 when prompted.

I am having the same kind of problem. I called Verizon and did the update that they said and was still having issues. I went into Verizon last night and they said it isn't my phone it was a Blackberry network issue. I can receive all my texts fine it is when I try to send them out it appears they went out just fine but then the other person never gets it. Is this a Verizon issue or Blackberry? i have been having this issue since Tuesday.
I am having the same problem with being able to text to some numbers, but not others. It is hit and miss. I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon and even had by blackberry replaced, but yet I continually have the same problem.
I'm having the same problem and it is only other Verizon customers who aren't receiving my texts, all other providers are. I called customer support and it didn't even know on their network that I had sent out any texts eventhough on my end it was showing they went through just fine. The guy I was talking to sent my problem to their engineering department so hopefully they can figure it out.
