i am trying to use a friends old blackberry curve and i do not know how to switch it over to my information how can i do that

What a nice friend to give you their Blackberry! We can certainly assist with getting you all set up on that device. First off, you'd need to activate it on your line. Did you already have a smartphone? If so then nothing should change with your plan. if you did not, a Blackberry would require a minimum $30.00 data package. You would be prompted about this during the activation process. You can sign into My Verizon here http://bit.ly/xB4iTc and activate your device under the "I Want To..." section.
