I just received a e-mail on my storm that basically said...... You must re- do your password on your microsoft e-mail accounts by dec 31 or else they will stop. Is this a fact or a trick ??????

OK .Just got off the phone with VWS and the girl there said :
"If the BB server for e-mail receives a [error] report it sends out a request for reinstatement of the password and if they don't get it the service will be cut off. This is to prevent someone else using your password."
So it's not a trick....... Now I'm off to find a place where the dang thing works to verify the password.......

Unlike my company's IT Department, the nice thing about free web based mail services like Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc is that they don't force you to change your email password every 48 hours! Some store your password information cached on your PC and only ask you re-enter your password once every couple of weeks. But none I know force you to change your password
However, you may receive an inactivity notice that the account will be closed if you don't log in once every few months.
Sounds like a scam. I would delete it and call it a day.
