and a friend got me an unlocked blackberry but the glyde has no sim card to transfer... is there anyway to get the unlocked blackberry to work with my current plan so I dont have to but a new phone?

You should be able to do that via My Verizon and logging in and changing the ESN numbers. Keep in mind, I am sure you will be prompted to add a Blackberry data plan to your calling plan. The data plans are required for Blackberry devices.

No, Verizon phones do not use SIM cards. The SIM cards in the Tour and the Storm are for overseas access of those networks. So, you do not need a SIM card.
I tried what you said. but when I try to acticvate it my phone says emegency calls only. what am I doing wrong?
