want a new line with a Blackberry phone. currently on connect plan.........

i am adding a new line to a connect plan. there is currently 2 lines on our plan already. i was going to get a Blackberry Tour:

1. what exactly is the difference between the data plans?

2. would sticking with the connect plan with a data plan be cheaper? or should i get my own plan on the same account?

i pretty much want to know the cheapest way i can afford this phone monthly.

The Connect plan is not compatible with Smartphone/Blackberry devices, so you won't be able to keep that for the Blackberry Tour. What you'll need to do is move your line to a Select plan so that you still get unlimited messaging and add on the $29.99 feature for Blackberry Email & Web.

Reasons/Complaints abound about why advanced device data plans are $29.99 and not compatible with the Connect or Premium plan. But that's the way it is with the two largest carrier's in the US. So you've gotta pay to play.
