I’m experiencing an issue with my BlackBerry Bold 9930 where the volume up button has completely stopped working. It first became apparent when I was trying to adjust the volume during a phone call, but it also seems to affect other apps like Pandora and TuneIn Radio, which rely on the volume controls.
I took the phone to a Verizon store, and they suggested visiting a mobile repair store. I went to uBreakiFix in Chicago, and they told me that the motherboard would need to be replaced in order to fix the issue.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is replacing the motherboard the only solution, or is there another fix I could try?
