Rumor has it that Verizon is already testing units of the CDMA version of the Bold Touch 9930. Looks like a great addition to the Blackberry lineup.

Bold touch release delayed. I have been waiting on a new blackberry for a couple of years now but this is ridiculous.

I agree with you. I don't look for any new Blackberry devices until later this summer, possibly early fall. RIM just hasn't been too aggresive in the smartphone department. They have been focusing on the Playbook. I'm sick of hearing about the Playbook, especially on Crackberry.com. I think the Bold touch will be a great addition, when it finally comes out.

With the release coming later in the summer I am glad that my next upgrade date isn't until October. That will allow time for the bugs to be identified (and some eliminated) before I take the plunge. :smileyhappy:

Absolutely correct, that airport store "guy" is getting his information (actually rumor and innuendo) from the same sources we all are - the internet (and maybe from another guy in another store). Unless, of course, airport store guy is somehow related to a VZW exec who signs off on final release.

My view is this: I see it when I see it. It's a phone, and sometimes a working device, and infrequently a toy, to me. When the Bold Touch hits the stands, so to speak, some of us holding on to our VZW upgrades (mine kicked in months ago, with my contract ending in Nov 2011) will be pushing & shooving with our hands out.

It's fun listening to the drama, though. Something to do on holiday weekend morning.

Yes, the 9930 Bold is a dual radio (CDMA/GSM) phone like the Bold 9650. I have also read that the Torch 9850 which is in effect the Storm replacement, will also be a world phone. 9850 is due to be released about Sept. 1st.
