Currently have 3-lines with phones (all paid off). Looking at getting my daughter a phone, adding a new line. Looks like current promotions I can get a new iphone (128GB) for free (applied by monthly promo credit) by adding an unlimited line. Once I get the line/phone would I be able to switch the line number between my phones, and still get the promotional credit . The goal is to give my daughter the new line with my wife's existing iphone XR, and my wife get the new phone with her existing number. So total 4-lines for my entire family. Just making sure will be able to still get the monthly promotional credit.
IDK. Wouldn't be surprised if you try this and then the promotion doesn't work because they want the new phone to also be tied into a new phone number. If your wife is wanting a new phone, that's considered a phone upgrade which is some other deal altogether, and moving the old phone to your daughter is a BYOD thing. Just my .02 so you don't get some nasty surprise with your bill later.
