Either go to a VZW corporate store and have them change the SIM for you or call and have VZW send you a new SIM. Never seen a SIM that difficult to remove. I've been able to use push pins previously to open the SIM card tray. You'll just need something like a pin or safety pin
Also careful not to damage sim card tray for phone. Some can be replaced others are harder to come by .
