"No access" to page that would allow me to port my number

I'm changing carriers and they cannot port my number until I get some code from Verizon. But when I click to go to that page, it tells me I have no access to that page. So it appears Verizon is not allowing me to port my number, which is illegal.

matilf, I'm sorry to hear you want to leave the VZ family. It's saddening but if changes need to occur, I understand. There is a security PIN that is needed to complete a port-out. This is designed to prevent unauthorized porting attempts by someone fraudulent on your account. You can request one via My Verizon, the steps of which can be found here under the 'How to Request a Number Transfer Pin': https://www.verizon.com/support/port-out-faqs/ 

 

You do need to be an Account Owner or Manager, to generate the PIN. If you are not one of those, I'd consult with the Account Owner, so they can assist you.
