I upgraded Verizon Access Manager to version 2.7.2.1 (2462a). Every time I start it, it tells me there is a firmware update availalbe. However, following either the instructions through the Access Manager per http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=27030&supportview=1&p=-1 or wit the Access Manager closed and the running the firmware exe directly, it fails to complete the MiFI firmware upgrade from 125 to 135. All I get is a message box that it failed. Any hints?

I don't need to use the MiFi both tethered and wireless at the same time. My problem is that it keeps dropping connection every few minutes. I don't care about the special features if it doesn't have a signal that I can depend on.

Try just downloading the firmware file itself. Run it and it puts the software in the correct location on your computer and then hook the mifi to your computer directly and launch VZaccess to do the update.
