Cannot Install USB760 Software on Windows 7 64 Bit Dell

My Verizon software does not install correctly. It keeps hanging up on "Checking for previous versions of Verizon Access Manager. I have not previously installed any broaddand wireless software on this system. Does anyone have some ideas on how to get this working?

Uninstall previous attempts, as applicable, and create manual connection. Visit vzam.net and install directly from the site. Delete manual connection afterwards and fully utilize VZ Access Manager.

I have provided some information below that may be helpful.
Step 1 – Restart the computer (if it has not been done already) and completely uninstalling the existing software and drivers.
Step 2 – I would recommend downloading the software from our www.vzam.net website. Once you are on the website, follow the steps below to ensure the correct version is downloaded.
-On the red menu on the left hand side, select “Consumer Downloads”
-Select Windows 7 on the drop down menu of question 1
-Select PC card, Express card or USB Modem for question 2
-Select Verizon Wireless USB760 for question 3
-Select Continue
-Enter the devices 10-digit number
-Select Download Now
-Select Save for the file
-Save it to a location (ex. Desktop, or personal folder)
Step 3 – Complete the installation and run an activation on the device. Instructions given below:
