Error QA916

I have been using my white usb mobile broadband device it has been working fine. All of a sudden it would tell me there someone using it on another session. Called Verizon Tech we have deleted Broadband, reinstalled, activated sucessfully but when I go to connect I now get the error 916 Can you help.  I checked the device out on my other laptop and it works fine.

Error Qa916 is a common error simply meaning " Cannot resolve connection to internet". To properly troubleshoot this you'd want to contact Technicial Support 1-800-922-0204. Otherwise, you can try going up to Options under VZAccess Manager and clicking Activation. Sometimes that will resolve your connection issue, it's basically like dialing *228 from a cell phone.

Sounds like a Dial-up Networking issue of some form. Go into Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections tab and make sure it's set to never dial a connection, hit ok and retest. If that doesn't work go into VZ Access Manager > Tools > Preferences, check the box for NDIS mode and hit ok to the warnings that come up and OK to get out of Preferences and then test. If it connects that would confirm the problem is in the DUN configuration on that machine.

PS- Be sure to uncheck NDIS mode after testing as that is not the preferred method of connecting to the network.
