Is THERE ANY WAY TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM USING MY USB760 MODEM WHILE I AM USING IT? I WAS ABLE TO SECURE MY PC AT HOME THAT WAY. CAN IT BE DONE?

How is someone going to tap into your USB760 modem unless you're using it with a wireless router? In that case, you need to password protect it.

That is an intriguing question; what event or comment prompted the post?
The USB70 is directly attached to your laptop, so wireless isn't an issue here.
Windows provides an option to "allow others to connect through my machine",
but that presumes they are on the same network. Verizon 760 gives you a
unique network.
So nobody can steal your bandwidth, but of course you should protect your
machine from outside intrusion using a firewall ... one provided by
your laptop, since the 760 doesn't have one.
