Hotspot & Unlimited Data Plan -- Cost to Add?

I'm on an unlimited plan, and don't want to give it up. I would like to know what it would cost me to add a Wifi hotspot (JetPack or something) to my account? I have the opportunity to buy a 4620L from a coworker fairly cheap, so what I want to know is what Verizon would charge me to put that on my account, going month-to-month? For those of us still on unlimited plans, Verizon has scrubbed their web site of all information about adding these devices to unlimited plans.

A MiFi device like a Jetpack was always a separate data plan package. You could go with a Prepaid Mobile Broadband Plan. The website shows the plan as having three options. A weekly plan of $15 for 250 MB, and two monthly plans of $60 for 3 GB or $90 for 10 GB.

My guess is you can either:

1 Add a Data share plan @ say $30 for 4 Gig plus $20 jetpack access fee, There are other data amounts if you need more. Also, since this is a share plan you could also add a tablet later if you want. Your unlimited phone plan should remain as it is.

2 Call Verizon and see if they will activate the old data plans ($50 for 5 gig not shared) since you have an individual plan at the present time.

I have this plan right now. New to it. I'm trying to renew before it expires, but have not found any place to do that. It says go to Broadband Portal etc... went there link not hot can't do anything. Tried looking for a Verizon Prepaid Refill Card, only find for cell phone not the Mi-Fi... Do I have to wait until it expires to renew? I was trying to renew so I could carry over what is left to new, as it says in brochure.

That's a great question ms960! And the 4620L Jetpack is an awesome addition to your account. You didn't mention if the unlimited plan is on a smartphone or an old broadband device. If the unlimited plan is on a smartphone, the Jetpack would be a completely separate line of service on your account and unless you chose to change all the lines to the Share Everything, then it's addition won't effect your smartphone's unlimited plan. If you happen to have an older broadband device with an unlimited plan and just plan to have the Jetpack replace the old device, then you would need to change to a tiered data plan, like our $50.00 for 5GB of data.
