It all depends on how you performed the disconnect. If you performed a Disconnect and Forget function then sure, you would be prompted to type in the password again. Likewise if you entered the password but chose for the connected device to not remember that password then you are in the same boat.
Double check your wireless profile settings for your personal machine and confirm that it is in fact saving the password and that you are not deleting it when you are done. It has to be one or the other otherwise the Jetpack wouldn't allow you to connect in the first place.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues connecting to your jetpack. What type of device were you connecting the jetpack to? What error message did you receive when you tried to connect it the second time? Do you have the same issue when connecting the jetpack to other devices?
