I want an answer as to how to avoid overage. We NEVER do any gaming...NEVER stream any audio or video files....VERY RARELY watch a short YouTube video...OCCASIONALLY download music files from iTunes(maybe 3-6/month). 100% of our internet usage(which amounts to a couple hours a day maximum) is facebook and news articles. Our Mifi is turned off every night between 10pm and 8am. Yet, we used over 20GB last month. And, this month, 12 days into the cycle, we've used 9.45GB. This morning between 7:30 and 11:30, with only facebook for about 60 minutes of that time, we used 530MB. One morning, I turned on the Mifi and within minutes used about 400MB. Someone explain this. No, there is no one accessing our network. We live in the country and it has a 14-digit passcode. I firmly believe we are being screwed. And, if this doesn't get resolved this week, I am leaving Verizon. And, I will file a complaint with the BBB.
Another frustrating aspect of Verizon is the lousy customer service. There is no option for help in this area. It is not a mobile cell problem. Nor is it FIOS...or landline. I choose the best options and finally am connected with someone...only to find out it's not their department and they connect me to the right department which is basically, I start over again with the main menu. The ONLY WAY I ever get the slightest help is if I contact sales. At least that department has a live person. Customer services for MIFI devices is non-existent.
Sincerely,
TammiK
