and I have 2 gigs left. problem is my verizon broadband connection slowed way down, now I can't enjoy the last gigs before they get to charge me again. My question is can, and will, Verizon slow data down at the end of the usage cycle? I've had it for about 5 months and at the end of every month it slows down. I know I shouldn't accuse but it's frustrating knowing that those gigs are paid for and can't be used.

Hi koziole,
I completely understand your frustration and I would love to alleviate some of the confusion. Which device and data plan do you have? We do practice Network Optimization to ensure that you can count on the reliable network you expect. To optimize our network, we manage data connection speeds for a small subset of customers – the top 5% of data users with 3G devices on unlimited data plans – and only in places and at times of 3G network congestion. This ensures that all customers have the best data experience possible. For more details click here.
I would be happy to review your account to identify if you are affected and what transpired because I definitely want you to be able use your service. At your leisure please DM me your wireless number. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
