MiFi 2200 Wireless Help

So I got the MiFi 2200 today, thinking that I'd be able to use my desktop and my laptop at the same time, with the laptop using the WiFi. Couldn't understand why it wasn't working, then read some things, figured out that that's not what a MiFi is. So I accepted this. I realize I'll need to get an adaptor for my PC.

HOWEVER, on my laptop, the MiFi appears in the wireless networks available, however, when I put in the password that was provided to me with my MiFi, I get this message:

"The network password needs to be 40 bits or 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ASCII characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal digits"....What does that mean? It won't let me put in the 11 digit password that is provided. Is this an issue of wrong password for the device?

Anyone...?

Thanks in advance!

The technician had told me that the "hexidecimal/symbols" could only be A-F or something like that.  Any numbers would work.  Dont know if this would help you or not.
