MiFi data usage

I use gmail and outlook downloading some of the gmail and not others. If Outlook downloads an email with an attachment even though I don't open it, does the download count? How about viewing or deleting attachments online - e.g. if I delete without opening does it count?

Getting some odd data usage numbers.

Thanks for your inquiry. I understand the importance of wanting to keep up with your data usage. If Outlook automatically downloads your attachments, then yes it will count towards your allowance even if it's not opened. If you have to click on a link or paperclip to open the attachment, you will not use data until opening the attachment. The same would go for viewing and deleting attachments. If the attachment is downloaded it will go against your data allowance.
