NEED HELP WITH MIFI AND VZ ACCESS

what is the difference between mifi and verizonwireless access - i can get to the internet through both, but i am not sure if i am being charged differently?

I'm not certain I understand the question, but I'll try anyway. If you use the MiFi tethered to your computer with a cable, and you use VZAccess to create a WWAN connection you are using cellular data. Likewise, if you connect to the Internet using the MiFi as a wireless hotspot you are also using cellular data. In either case you are charged for cellular data under the same terms, whatever your plan allows.

 

If, however, you use VZAccess to connect via a Verizon (or other) WiFi hotspot that is NOT the MiFi you are not charged for data used.

Mifi would be the actually device that connects with the network in order to provided you with the ability to use the device. VZ Access Manager would be the software used to connect your computer with the device. Since you have the Mifi device, VZ Access Manager is only required to be used when activating the device for the first time or looking to change the settings for the device.
