New Network Extender User - Issues After Only 2 Days Of Use

Hello all. Hoping to get some thoughts or suggestions. I live in a rural area where I have to drive 7 miles before I pickup a signal (even though Verizon's coverage map shows I should have full coverage). I purchased my Network Extender this past Saturday & it worked flawlessly for two days (four bars). Yesterday when I got home I could not get a signal. All four blue lights were on solid (not blinking). Still not working this morning. I unplugged it & four blue lights are on again but no signal. I got frustrated trying customer support as every support person I talked with had no idea as to what the Network Extender was. All they focused on was trying to reprogram my phone. The last person I talked to told me that their supervisor suggested I call the store where I bought it. I called the store & they had no knowledge of the device. The salesperson I bought it from had left for the day. Anyone experience having the blue lights on and the device not working?  Thanks

I have had (and still am having) somewhat simular issue with my Extender. I did work fine for 2 weeks. Now, the only phone which is capable getting on this Extender network is my Blackberry (Tour). The other 4 phones on the plan can not get on the Extender network and do not see the Extender. It is very easy to check by just dialing #48. All four LEDs are steady blue and the apparatus was powered down, rebooted etc. etc. countless number of times.  After spending in excess of 2.5 hours with a Verizon tech support person who was constantly apologizing instead of doing his job I was able to get a "Ticket" with further assurances of more telephone conversation with other "technical" specialists within next 8 days.

Customer Service never called me back as promised and I do not have the patience to sit through another 39 minute phone call while someone who has never heard of the Network Extender tries to reprogram my phone despite my numerous requests to be transferred to a technician.

Anyhow, what seems to work for me now is everytime I get home and actually am fortunate to have 1 bar, I dial *228 to update the tower. After that I have 4 bars throughout the night.

Another issue I have is that I can't speed dial anyone. When I hit "send" I get a recording saying "please enter your 10 digit number that you are calling, do not hit send" and then the call goes through.

Bizarrre, but it works.
